The Konjic Municipality Days, which will last until June 18, began with the ceremonial opening of the Champions Trophy European Finals in Konjic.
The first Champions Trophy European Finals organized by the Balkan Project and with the support of the Municipality of Konjic and Konjic entrepreneurs, started in the Garden City Hotel in Konjic. It is about the sporting event that marked the beginning of the manifestation Days of the Municipality of Konjic, which brought together 22 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Austria.
Mayor Osman Ćatić on behalf of the city and the Municipality of Konjic welcomed the participants of the competition.
“Konjic has always been known for good athletes, artists, successful people, businessmen, cultural and historical heritage, and it is also known for its hospitality, so I want you to feel at home” – said Ćatić, who wished the competitors success, fair play game, and congratulated the organizers on the event which is a gift to the city for his birthday.
Speaking on behalf of the organizers of the Balkan project, Alexander Rakowitz thanked everyone who in any way helped make this beautiful sports story happen in Konjic, telling the participants that during the competition everyone should be one big football family in which everyone is respected.
A two-day football competition for boys under 10 will be held at the stadium of the Football Club “Igman Konjic”, which has been specially arranged for this event in recent days.
The winner of the first European final will win a direct placement and free participation in the World Final in Vienna.
